Guardian account

The person creating an account must be at least 18 and be the child's parent, legal guardian, or another adult authorized to make the account and privacy decisions. The guardian is responsible for accurate account information, password security, child-profile choices, and activity under the family account.

Educational purpose

StarSeeker is an educational practice game. It is not speech therapy, medical care, diagnosis, a medical device, a substitute for school instruction, or a guarantee of a particular reading or speech outcome. Guardians should use professional judgment and consult the child's qualified care or education team when appropriate.

Trial and subscription

• The family plan begins with one seven-day free trial for an eligible family.
• A payment method is required to start the trial. Stripe processes payment details.
• Unless canceled before the trial ends, the subscription renews at $4.99 USD each month.
• The current price and renewal timing are shown again in Stripe Checkout before the guardian confirms.
• Taxes may be added when legally required and will be shown by Stripe when applicable.

Cancellation and billing help

A guardian can use the account billing portal for an ordinary cancellation. That cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current paid or trial period, so access continues until then. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, it does not create a prorated credit or refund; a trial canceled before its end does not convert into a paid plan. Discounted access

Families for whom $4.99 per month is difficult may request a discounted rate by email. Availability and amount may depend on service costs and the circumstances shared by the guardian. A child should never be asked to make the request.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass family boundaries, access another family's data, automate expensive provider requests, interfere with the service, reverse engineer private credentials, upload unlawful material, or use the game to collect information from another child without authorization.

Availability and changes

StarSeeker may change features, curriculum, providers, or support levels as the product improves. Planned maintenance or service-provider outages can temporarily interrupt prepared audio, billing, authentication, or the game. Public family accounts do not offer child voice processing. Any future voice feature would require separate direct guardian notice and any required consent before it became available.

Account closure

The family owner may request deletion from account security by entering the current guardian password and typing DELETE exactly. An account-deletion request cancels any StarSeeker subscription immediately instead of waiting for the end of the billing period. Except where applicable law requires otherwise, that immediate cancellation does not create a prorated credit or refund.

If Stripe cannot confirm cancellation, deletion stops before sign-out. Family account and game access remain active so the guardian can retry, although a pending operations record may remain so support can see the failed request. After cancellation is confirmed, or when no managed subscription exists, guardian and child sessions are ended and deletion processing begins.

Legally required billing records, fraud-prevention records, and protected backups may be retained for their required periods. Those retained records are restricted from ordinary product use.
