The Math Expanse
Five math planets are playable today. Load crates, break ten-rods, tile factory floors, slice water channels, and trade fair prices to uncover the quantities hidden by the Drift.
Gauges report the wrong cargo. Ledgers misstate bridge lengths. Foundry dials spin out false totals. Physical reality stays exactly where it is, waiting to be counted, measured, or arranged again.
The instruments lie. The world does not. Re-derive the quantity to expose the Drift.

Six known bugs, named
Distractors map to nine named misconceptions. After two matching observations, the engine drops back to a concrete or visual representation and re-enters consolidation.

Each item template returns on a spaced-review ladder: the same day, then after 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days.
Slow and correct stays correct
Pacing reads response time against your child's own established pace — never against other children — with a calibration step that separates thinking time from tapping speed. A correct but slower answer holds its place rather than moving backward.
One rail, not one trick per topic
Tally Flats introduces the Number Rail — gold and cyan runway marks that give every quantity a place to stand. It is designed as the spine of the whole Expanse: the planned planets extend the same rail into integers and the coordinate plane, rather than teaching a fresh gimmick per topic.
Each shipped case pairs a short mystery with a strategy probe. The case asks which strategy Cadet used, and the NPC responds to that choice. There is no score, branching path, or separate win condition.
A foundry dial lies about its output. The case asks whether Cadet would tile rows and columns, test a pattern, split into tens, or use a known multiplication fact.
Math is off by default. A guardian decides when to turn it on, and placement is required before the first math mission.
